Study skills I had to master in College

1.Being able to take good classroom notes

2.Having time control and concentration

3. Using the PRWR method

The most important thing I learned in College

I think the most valuable thing that I learned in college was concentration, organization, and building a powerful memory. Without any of those methods I would not be were I am today.

How I received my position

After I graduated from NYU, I did my internship at Coach Leather Good Headquarters in New York. I was a personal assistant to Lew Frankfort (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer). I did my internship there for 6 months and was hired permanently. Mr. Frankfort seen some of my ideas in my sketch book and decided to let me use some of my designs for their up coming line. It was a success and from that point on I went from being a personal assistant, to a fashion designer, then to a Vice President, to being President, Executive Creative Director. It took a lot of hard work, but I made it.

Where I grew up and Where I live now October 10, 2007

I was born and raised in Camden, NJ. I was born on May 5, 1979 in Cooper University Hospital. I grew up on Berkley Street a few blocks away from the hospital. It was a noisy neighborhood. You could always hear the ambulance from the hospital riding up and down the street. I attended the Camden public school system from kindergarten up until high school. Once I completed high school I enrolled in college in New York so I could have a better opportunity to advance my career.

I now live in Manhattan, New York. I went to college here and this is where my career landed me. New York is a big city and is filled with life. Many celebrities come to our headquarters requesting specific designs. I like my career and really enjoy where I work, what I do for a living, and where I live. New York is my inspiration to design.

Why I chose my majors?

I decided to take Fashion Design as a major at NYSD because I love fashion. I had always dreamed of making my own clothing and accessories line. Even as a little girl I would play dress-up in my mother’s closet and draw pictures of different dresses and outfits that I wanted to wear. I love to express myself through fashion, it allows me to be who I am. I love to follow the newest trends, but I also like starting my own trends. I like being original and that’s what being a fashion designer is all about. I majored in Management and Organization at NYU because not only will I have the talent to create a clothing and accessory line,  I will be able to own, manage, and operate too.
